Garden Design Ideas

the small space is located at the side of our house.

I would like to create a japanese garden on a shoe string budget in a small area of my garden.I also want a water feature in it with hopefully a bridge.Big wish list .I work well with pictures which i can relate to.

I am a cheapstake…yes I know. But why pay when there is a chance to get something for free.

I want to do a 3D design (2D if I am asking for the impossible) of the garden of my dreams but the software is so damn expensive. Anyone know any good sites??

I have had a few landscapers out to look at the garden but can’t seem to get accross to them just what I want it like, and my artistic flare is non-existant and the drawings I try to do look really naff.

Designer? Carpenter? I like them all and have no favorite. But I love Trading Spaces, with or without Paige. I love Laurie and Genevieve, and I love Amy Winn and Carter. (I wasn’t certain if this would be under Decorating and Remodeling or Garden and Landscape or both.)

We bought a piece of land of 2240 sqare meters in Indonesia. We are now looking for a nice affordable design of a house. It should have a big verandah and really make maximum use of local materials and the nice climate. Ideas for a garden are also welcome.

I’ve seen a picture of this amazing garden furniture, it looks like a charcoal wicker, 4 chairs and a small table. They all stack up together to make a solid gherkin sort of shape when it’s not in use and it’s soooo cool! All I know is, that it’s a Japanese design but I can’t find where to get it from! I’ve searched google but to no avail Any ideas?

I’m looking for a garden design software - this is the one I’m going for probably - partly because it is australian based plants/climate etc I’m designing an ornamental vegetable garden. There are heaps of plants in this program but does it include a lot of different vegetables?
